The British car manufacturer Jaguar has been exciting us for a long time with the public premiere of its most powerful sedan in history, the XFR-S , which was presented yesterday at the exhibition center in Los Angeles. Even before that, the brand shortened our wait with the help of teasers . Of course, with the debut came official photos and information.
To increase handling, Jaguar engineers modified the suspension at both ends of the car and redesigned the electronic programs controlling the Adaptive Dynamics systems, the active electronic differential and Dynamic Stability Control . The car's steering is a bit more refined compared to the XK , and thus promises better handling. The sharpest XFR-S will ride on 20-inch Varuna forged wheels shod with Pirelli tires measuring 265/35R20 at the front and 295/30R20 at the rear.

Under the hood is a 5.0 -liter turbocharged eight-cylinder from the XKR-S with an output of 550 horsepower and a torque of 680 Nm. Compared to the XF-R , this is an increase of 40 hp and 56 Nm. Power is transmitted to the rear axle via an 8-speed Quickshift automatic transmission with paddles under the steering wheel. Acceleration to 100 km/h takes place in 4.4 seconds and reaches an electronically limited maximum speed of 300 km/h. The Jaguar XF-R is 0.3 seconds slower and has a 50 km/h lower top speed. "Paper" fuel consumption is the same as that of the XKR-S , i.e. 12.3 l/100 km. But in reality it will cost much more. CO 2 emissions are at a value of 230 g/km.
On the road, it will be recognized mainly by the " S " on the front grille, but it will also feature a lot of aerodynamic elements such as a redesigned front bumper, full ventilation, widened sills and the main distinguishing feature will be a massive rear wing in two sizes. Carbon fiber parts are also found throughout the exterior. Plus, the XFR-S exhaust system replaces the central muffler with an X-section and near-straight tailpipe for a harsher sound.
Changes have also been made to the interior, with carbon leather on the side panels and armrests, a dark mesh aluminum strip, available contrasting color stitching and micro lines, and RS badging. Only 100 units will be sold in the United States at a starting price of $99,000 (about 1,764,000 crowns), in other countries sales should not be limited. It will also arrive in the Czech Republic .
