The new S65 AMG is likely to be presented in Geneva

In mid-July, all the information about the most powerful version of the new Mercedes S-class so far appeared on our website. It is the S63 AMG in itself, which boasts above all that it will offer less weight and more power compared to the previous generation.

The new Mercedes S63 AMG should be presented to the public at the autumn Frankfurt Motor Show, but we already know the Czech price of the unveiled S63 AMG . However, many die-hard fans of the three-pointed star are waiting to see if the automaker wants to introduce a more powerful S65 AMG . It looks very promising, as the first information about the mentioned version is leaking out these days.

The aforementioned S63 AMG has under the hood a 5.5 -liter twin-turbocharged eight-cylinder with an output of 585 horsepower and a torque of 900 Nm. So what will the expected S65 AMG have? The most likely variant is a twelve -cylinder, which could produce 630 hp if not more and at least 1000 Nm of torque, since the four cylinders will add more than 100 Nm compared to the S63 AMG.

A seven-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT automatic transmission will probably be added to the twelve-cylinder engine, which will probably send power to all wheels. The new S65 AMG should accelerate to 100 km/h in less than 4 seconds.

However, if you want a twelve-cylinder purely without the AMG package, then there is one option. Mercedes is also currently working on a variant of the S600 , which could be presented together with the S65 AMG at the Geneva Motor Show in March next year. This would be followed by sales in the first quarter of 2014.
