TechArt GrandGT – modification of the modernized Panamera

Porsche introduced the modernized Panamera model this year, and it didn't take long for the first modifiers to jump on it. The German company TechArt automobildesign GmbH recently presented its version called GrandGT . We have more information and photos for you.

A few days ago we presented you a modified Porsche Cayman from the TechArt company , today it is the turn of the modernized Panamera . The body kit of the model is made from a combination of carbon fibers and polyurethane produced by the RIM (Reaction Injection Molding) method.

The front bumper received an integrated splitter and significant air intakes, in which the modifier also installs a new LED light system combining the function of daytime, parking and direction lights, including indicators. In addition, the front part of the car received a redesigned hood with air outlets that help maintain a balanced temperature in the engine compartment. TechArt installs dark decor around the headlights.

We can also find it on the air vents behind the front wheels. On the side of the Panamera , new sills and extended fenders are most obvious. TechArt widened the wheel track by 42 mm at the front and 82 mm at the rear, which not only gives the car a more aggressive look, but also more confident driving characteristics .

The rear part is dominated by a bumper with elongated air outlets on the sides and a dark diffuser below. The wing on the fifth door under the rear glass is equally prominent, which, according to the modifier, increases the stability of the Panamera when driving at high speed. The four tailpipes of the stainless steel exhaust system are not only interesting to look at, but are supposed to give the car a sportier sound, while the customer can also order damper control.

In the official press release, the TechArt company does not talk about modifications to the chassis, except for widening the wheel tracks. However, customers can order from several sizes (20 to 22 inches) and wheel designs, and any choice can be color and surface matched to the car's exterior by the customizer.

TechArt is also currently developing a Power Kit for the V8 4.8l twin turbo Panamera Turbo engine, which is intended to increase output from the stock 520hp up to an estimated 580hp by modifying the powertrain management. The interesting thing is that this additional kit can not only be installed easily and quickly, but also removed, while the manufacturer provides a two-year warranty on it. Surprisingly, you also get the engine as such and the exhaust system.

In the interior of the Panamera, TechArt installs new upholstery with contrasting stitching, a custom three-spoke steering wheel with gear shift paddles, several different decors, and customers can also choose purely luxurious elements for the rear passengers. These include, for example, an entertainment system with screens in the headrests of the front seats, a folding table, a redesigned center console and others.

The GrandGT , based on the Panamera Turbo, was presented by TechArt for the first time at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The official price list of the editor is not mentioned in the press release.
