Porsche will build the 911 GT3 RS

Porsche will be quite busy in the coming months . It showed the new 911 GT3 in Geneva, the 911 Turbo will follow in the summer, and a special 918 Spyder will arrive in Frankfurt in its final form. In addition, the new 911 GT3 RS is expected at the beginning of 2014.

It shares the philosophy with its predecessor, i.e. lower weight and higher performance . It should now be around 500 horses, which the engineers will get from the six-cylinder with a volume of 3.8 liters. Weight is saved by an aluminum hood or a titanium exhaust pipe .

However, the installation of the PDK dual-clutch automatic transmission , which can already be found in the basic GT3, will be a disaster or at least a shock for the owners of the current RS. In addition to the PDK, the RS will also get a new electric power steering , which should be as good as the steering of the limited model GT3 RS 4.0.

In addition to technical innovations, there will of course also be changes in appearance . The biggest will be the installation of a large rear wing, extended fenders or new wheels.
