SRT Viper for $97,000

After a long wait, American automaker Chysle r has finally released the base price of its SRT Viper supercar, as well as the Viper GTS version. The basic model will go on sale at a price of 97,395 dollars (approximately 1.87 million crowns in conversion). The GTS version will then cost $120,395, which translates to $2.3 million.

Both versions are powered by an 8.4-liter, front-mounted, fork-mounted, all-aluminum ten-cylinder engine that produces 477 kW (640 hp) and 812 Nm of torque. In addition, this high torque is the highest ever among non-turbocharged engines. The drive unit is connected to the wheels of the rear axle through a six-speed manual gearbox. The advanced model uses a tubular space frame and body parts made of carbon fiber. In addition, the doors are made of aluminum and there is also plastic. No one can be surprised by the very decent value of the curb weight, which is 1521 kilograms, which means an intergenerational weight reduction of 45 kg.

Production of the iconic Viper model in its latest generation will begin in November this year in Detroit, and the first produced pieces will see their owners at the beginning of next year.
