The Italian company Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera presented a very stylish Disco Volante Touring concept at the Geneva exhibition last year , with which it referred to the historic Alfa Romeo car .
No one would have expected this elegant concept study to see mass production . Yes, you read that right, and it was for this event that the Italian brand released the first teaser . It shows the front part of the car and, compared to the concept, will finally also offer a power unit. Specifically, we will find under the hood the " cuore sportivo " (sporty heart) of the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione – that is, a 4.7 -liter eight-cylinder engine with a power of 450 hp and a torque of 470 Nm.
The two-seater also gets a few structural changes, such as lots of carbon panels and hand-finished aluminum panels. The premiere of the production form will take place in less than a month in Geneva , and for the sake of warning, the mentioned Disco Volante Touring will not stand on the Alfa Romeo stand, but on a separate field of the Italian company.
