In 2008, the Saleen S5S Raptor concept was introduced at the New York motor show and, despite favorable reviews, fell into oblivion. Confirmation of production production did not appear, so it seemed that the car would not see the light of day. Hopefully this will change soon and Steve Saleen will make his case. The latter has just regained his rights to the company after a long court case and confirmed the production of a similar sports car like the S5S Raptor .
The original Saleen S5S Raptor concept had under the hood a turbocharged V8 with a volume of equal to 5 liters, which produced 650 horsepower. It was stated that the car will reach a top speed of 322 km/h and accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds.
The project is still in the early stages, so there is no official confirmation of production. However, information about its production should emerge within the next ninety days. The company will continue to produce models based on the Ford Mustang, the Dodgy Challenger , and after long delays, the Chevrolet Camaro will join.
Saleen was founded in 1984, which means it is approaching its 30th anniversary. Hopefully we will get a special surprise for his celebration.
