Rolls-Royce showed a new edition of the Phantom

A car referring to water, boats, famous racers, planes or vintage models is nothing new. However, the Rolls-Royce Phantom Metropolitan Collection is significantly different from this squad – it pays tribute to metropolises !

It is probably most noticeable in the interior, specifically on the wooden paneling of the dashboard and the tables in the rear. The covering of the table is composed of more than 500 pieces of wood veneer, and the final image (on both parts of the interior) gives the appearance of a skyline of a big city with skyscrapers . The entire work reportedly took several days of manual work, which can also be said about the embroidered images of the skyscraper into the backs of the rear seats. It took up to 6,800 stitches to make it! On the center console, the analog clock , whose frame is divided into time zones according to 24 major world cities, attracts attention. The luxurious impression of the interior is further completed by the Aetherius Gray leather upholstery.

The bodywork is relatively inconspicuous, with the vehicle pictured sporting Darkest Tungsten paint, which is said to be one of the 4,400 possible body colors ! The only significant difference is another image of a skyscraper , this time its hand-painted silhouette on the C-pillar. The whole work is the result of the brand's individualization program and a total of 20 similar Phantoms will be produced. Estimating the price, however, would probably be carrying firewood into the forest…
