Roadster of the British brand with a new award

The British car manufacturer Jaguar can be rightly proud of itself. Its new model, called the F-Type , which can be considered the spiritual successor of the E-Type (one of the most beautiful cars of all time), won the prestigious World Car Design of the Year award . This was awarded at the ongoing New York Fairgrounds.

A total of 43 different cars were nominated for this poll, and the evaluation jury consisted of 66 journalists from 23 countries around the world. Creativity, style and also the ability to stand out from the competition were evaluated on the mentioned cars. The jury had a really tough task, but after all considerations, they awarded the World Car Design of the Year 2013 award to the aristocratic Jaguar F-Type roadster. In second place was the Aston Martin Vanquish , and in third was the new Mazda 6 flagship.

The British roadster represents a so-called return to the roots – a two-seater sports car with an open roof, which focuses primarily on performance and driving characteristics. The automaker has really big plans for the F-Type , as it wants to launch a new derivative of the model every 12 to 18 months , like Porsche has with the legendary 911 .

Jaguar would like to introduce all possible variations of the F-Type by 2020. For example, we will see a high-performance version, an all-wheel drive model or a targa. We are already looking forward to it, but still – big congratulations to the car manufacturer .
