Porsche showed the new Aerokit for the 911 Turbo

Porsche has prepared a new Aerokit for the 911 Turbo models. This not only gives the car a certain amount of visual aggressiveness , but at the same time primarily increases aerodynamic downforce.

The Aerokit includes, among other things, a specific spoiler for the lower edge of the front bumper and a new engine cover with a fixed pressure wing, which includes side panels and a retractable spoiler with tilt adjustment. Even more character and sportiness are added to the typical silhouette of the 911 Turbo by the side tear-off surfaces of the front spoiler and the distinctly designed rear section.

During the development of Aerokit, the main emphasis was placed on functionality . At the Porsche development center in Weissach, the Aerokit underwent extensive tests in the wind tunnel and on the test track. The goal of the development was to improve dynamics by increasing aerodynamic downforce , but without an additional increase in the coefficient of frontal air resistance cx.

The new "Aerokit Turbo" thus brings an increase in downforce on both the front and rear axles, and thus increased stability at high speeds. In the Speed setting of the active aerodynamic concept of the 911 Turbo model, the downforce on the front axle increased by 17 kg to 26 kg at a speed of 300 km/h, in the Performance setting it increased by 18 kg to 150 kg.

The Aerokit, designed for the 911 Turbo and 911 Turbo S , can be ordered in two versions – in body color or with a glossy black finish. In addition to the installation of the Aerokit, the serial thresholds and the lower part of the rear bumper will also be painted accordingly. Part of the black design is also repainting the slats of the engine hood in black – this matches the retractable part of the rear spoiler. In addition to new cars, where it will be delivered to the factory for 5,355 euros (approx. 148,000 crowns) via Porsche Exclusive , it can also be ordered as an original Porsche Tequipment accessory for 4,879 euros (approx. 135,000 crowns) for cars already in use. The warranty on the car remains intact in both cases.
