After four successful but also controversial years of production, the four-door Panamera coupe from Porsche received a facelift. It's still not a beauty, but under the jacket we can once again find only the best.
The facelift affected the appearance only minimally. It was practically limited to the classic procedures – a new front and rear bumper, modified front and rear lights (in addition with new LEDs) and, above all, the placement of the license plate lower than in the current model. However, the Executive package is an interesting novelty. It offers a 150 mm longer wheelbase, better equipment and higher travel comfort. It will be available for Turbo and 4S versions.
Under the hood, two changes have taken place compared to before. First of all – for the Panamera S and Panamera 4S versions, don't look for an eight-cylinder with a volume of 4.8, but a twice-turbocharged six-cylinder with a volume of three liters . It has a power of 420 hp and a torque of 520 Nm. This engine, like most engines, will be equipped with a seven-speed PDK gearbox.
Second, a new version of the Panamera S E-Hybrid is coming to the market. It is the first plug-in hybrid of the Porsche brand, which combines an electric motor with a capacity of 95 hp and a six-cylinder gasoline engine with a capacity of 320 hp under its hood. The total power of the entire system is 416 horsepower. Lithium-ion batteries with a capacity of 9.4 kWh take care of the electric motor's energy supply, which should be enough for an electric range of about 36 km. The battery is charged to its full capacity in 4 hours from a normal network and in two and a half hours if you use the Porsche Universal Charger . Dynamic parameters are not bad at all – acceleration to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds, maximum speed of 270 km/h… If only the consumption was real, because 3.1 l/100 km is pure nonsense. The transmission of power to the road is handled by the eight-speed Tiptronic S automatic transmission , which, apart from the E-Hybrid, can only be found in the diesel version.
The new Panamera will be presented to the world for the first time at the Shanghai Motor Show . The basic price of the modernized limousine is close to 81,849 euros (approx. 2,114,000 CZK) for the diesel version.
