Porsche 911 GT3 Cup – the new racing beast!

Stuttgart-based Porsche has finally revealed the new generation of the 911 GT3 Cup model at the Night of Champions event. The new racing special will participate exclusively in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup championship at the beginning of next year.

The Porsche 911 GT3 Cup was created on the basis of the upcoming road version of the 911 GT3 . It will offer an evolutionary design and a new bumper with a carbon splitter at the front. On the contrary, on the rear part we find a massive wing and a double exhaust tip located in the middle. Of course, there are also racing wheels with wider Michelin tires .

In the cabin we find a special steering wheel with a cut lower edge, a digital instrument panel and a central panel turned towards the driver. There is also a newly developed sports seat, a better roll cage and a so-called roof rescue hatch that allows the driver to be easily extricated in the event of an accident. In the engine compartment, a 3.8-liter six-cylinder engine produces 460 horsepower, an increase of 10 horsepower compared to its predecessor. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels through a six-speed " dog-type " transmission with paddles under the steering wheel.

The automaker's test driver, Timo Bernhard , stated: "The new 911 GT3 Cup is much easier to drive at the limit, the car is perfectly balanced. A new axle with the correct geometry has the greatest influence on vehicle handling. And besides, you'll have plenty of fun driving the 911 GT3 Cup ". The starting price of the new racing beast will be 181,200 Euros without VAT (approximately 4.56 million crowns).
