Nissan is preparing the GT-R in Nismo form

Nissan is preparing perhaps the biggest bomb among super sports for next year. Its Nismo division, in cooperation with the British company Williams Advanced Engineering, is preparing the best accelerating car on the market .

At least that's according to a confidential source of the British Auto Express , with whom the magazine spoke during the Goodwood Festival of Speed. He claims that the GT-R Nismo will accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in exactly two seconds ! That would put the line over the budget for both the super-powerful Bugatti Veyron Super Sport and the lightweight circuit toys like the Ariel Atom V8.

Nismo wants to achieve these values both through weight reduction and thanks to the power package for the six-cylinder from the classic GT-R, which could extract about 578 horsepower from the engine. Another advantage is the cooperation with the British company Williams Advanced Engineering, which participated, for example, in the creation of the Juku Nismo.

The firm's engineer told Auto Express: “You'd be surprised how much room there is for improvement here – even with a GT-R car. Where you expect that everything has already been tuned to the maximum, it is easy to achieve great things.”

The novelty, which will confuse the heads of many automakers and enthusiasts, will arrive on the market next year. The price in Great Britain will exceed 100,000 pounds (approx. 3,000,000 CZK).
