Nissan is preparing a hybrid GT-Rko

What has been speculated about in recent weeks, that is, the hybridization of the Nissan GT-R , will probably become a reality. In an interview with Autocar , marketing director Andy Palmer said this, saying that the electric motor will help increase performance while reducing emissions.

"The future electrification of all cars is inevitable, and there is a real chance that this will also apply to supercars such as the Nissan GT-R. An electric motor can help fill the gaps in the torque and power curve, plus it offers increased performance and reduced emissions. Hybridization is therefore very beneficial and I personally would expect some form of it in the next generation GT-R," said Palmer .

In addition to the new GT-R, Palmer also mentioned the upcoming GT-R Nismo , which will debut in just a few days at the Tokyo Motor Show: “Every year we come up with some kind of improvement such as strengthening the engine or optimizing the aerodynamics. The goal of this effort is our Nürburgring time, which we want to see decrease every year.”

The GT-R Nisma time is expected to coincide with the unveiling in the Japanese metropolis , with four drivers hired to capture the relevant time. The fastest of them was former Swiss Formula 1 racer Sebastien Buemi . According to Palmer, he is a great pilot who was not stopped even by his lack of experience with the "Green Hell" .
