Nissan has confirmed the next generation GT-R, it will arrive in 3 years

The Japanese Godzilla, or Nissan GT-R , goes through a facelift almost every year, but even those don't hide the fact that the GT-R has been on sale for almost six years now . Fortunately, it looks like we'll be seeing a new generation, which has been confirmed for 2016.

During the Nissan 360 press conference, an unnamed representative of the automaker stated to the foreign daily Motor Trend that the next generation of the GT-R model should arrive in three years . However, more details have not been revealed, but it is quite possible that the world premiere will take place before the end of 2015. Unfortunately, we do not know more about the available power unit either.

However, Nissan recently registered the R-Hybrid designation, which suggests that it will be a hybrid model. For now, nothing has been officially confirmed, but according to the latest reports, the new GT-R should have a Stop/Start system, cylinder deactivation and, above all, a hybrid system, which is currently offered by, for example, the Infiniti M35h or the Infiniti Essence .
