Morgan showed the new generation Aero 8

In the offer of the British Morgan , we can find hand-made retro sports cars, mostly appealing for a spartan interior and the pure joy of driving. A bit of an exception to the rule is the Aero 8 model , whose new generation is making its global debut these days in Geneva.

As you probably know, the vast majority of all Morgans use a frame made of quality wood. Aero 8 has an aluminum frame , in the new generation with increased torsional stiffness. However, the chassis with double wheel suspension and completely new stabilizers underwent significant changes. However, the naturally aspirated eight-cylinder engine with a volume of 4.8 liters, despite the changes to the design, still comes from the workshops of BMW in Munich and produces 371 hp at 6300 rpm and 490 Nm. The rear wheels are driven via a manual six-speed manual or a ZF automatic with paddles under the steering wheel assisted by a BMW self-locking differential , which is enough for the 4147 mm long roadster to accelerate in 4.5 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 273 km/h, or 249 km/h in the case of an automatic .

Styling in the style of roadsters from the 60s has been preserved, and you probably won't even be able to tell the difference between the old and the new generation at the front. Changes come at the rear with newly shaped fenders or a small boot lid that opens upwards and backwards. In addition to the retractable canvas roof, you can also opt for a fixed hardtop . The interior is exactly the case, out of the ordinary Morgan production. Air conditioning, airbags, electric windows, cruise control, radio or ABS with EBD are standard. For an additional fee, the touchscreen of the multimedia system can "hang" on the center console. The atmosphere of classic cars breathes on you thanks to the new wooden decors, woven carpets and leather upholstery, alternatively covering the seats with a carbon structure.
