Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG from Brabus – 800 HP, 1100 Nm!

Tuner Brabus will present its latest project, named the 800 Roadster , at the Geneva Motor Show next week. It is built on the foundations of the current generation Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG and, as is customary with Brabus, we can look forward to truly unprecedented performances!

The standard car is powered by a six-liter bi-turbo V12 engine that produces 630 horsepower and 1,000 Nm of torque. However, this did not seem enough to the Brabus engineers and they tuned the engine to 800 hp and 1420 Nm . Due to the presence of an automatic transmission that could not withstand such an onslaught, the torque was artificially limited to 1100 Nm. Acceleration from 0-100 km/h takes place in 3.7 seconds for the Brabus 800 Roadster , while the car can continue up to an electronically limited top speed of 350 km/h . This is a significant difference compared to the standard version of the Mercedes SL 65 AMG, which can "only" do 250 km/h.

In addition to increasing performance, Brabus also focused on the exterior. A new aerodynamic body kit has been added, which is developed in the wind tunnel. All components are made of carbon fiber and have a matte or glossy finish in any optional body color.

The Brabus 800 Roadster is built on special 20" alloy wheels shod with performance tires measuring 255/30 ZR20 at the front and 305/25 ZR20 at the rear. The car's ground clearance can be lowered by up to 25 millimeters thanks to a new suspension control module. Other modifications include new interior accessories, cream leather seats with the Brabus logo or a new speedometer with longer markings.

We do not yet know the price of the new Brabus 800 Roadster, but we know Brabus for that. The sums for cars modified in this way can be several times higher than the original value of the starting model!
