When Mercedes-Benz is mentioned, the reactions of those around you can be contradictory. Some will remember the sleek E or S class, others the super sports SLS . However, those who have thoughts about the C63 AMG in their heads are stubbornly silent. How is it possible? I don't know, but I noticed the same reaction in myself and a colleague during the first contact with the car in Chodov , Prague.
In connection with the Mercedes C63 AMG , I bring two news. The good thing is that the car will be newly available in the AMG Performance Studio edition, the bad thing is that the strengthened version will be available only for the Japanese market.
The family sedan with the parameters of a supersport is wrapped in a mysterious Designo Magno Night Black paint, the same shade is also carried by the 19" alloy wheels. However, they are also equipped with a distinctive red line of the collar, which corresponds to the paintwork of the calipers of the powerful brake system.
Under the hood is a naturally aspirated eight-cylinder with a volume of 6.3 liters, which offers a basic output of 336 kW. However, the AMG Performance package is used here, enriching the herd by another 22 kW. A torque of 600 Nm is sent to the rear driven axle through the AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT seven-speed automatic transmission. However, anyone who would think that thanks to the enormous performance it would not be able to start normally, would be wrong. The C63 AMG has Race Start control. Hence the respectable value of acceleration from 0-100 km/h in 4.5 seconds.
The interior has also been modified to match the exterior. Nappa leather can be found everywhere as far as the eye can see, except for the armrests, center tunnel and door panels. The carbon trim inspires a sense of respect even in those who are unaware of the importance of the entire car.
The AMG Performance Studio edition also gets a modified COMAND system. There will be a stopwatch here, for measuring sharp times on the circuit, current data on the used power and torque or even an indication of G overload.
The Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Performance Studio will be available in Japan from this November. Prices have not yet been released.
