McLaren 12C with Hennessey HPE700 performance package

No matter how hard car companies try to offer the most powerful cars, there will always be someone who finds it insufficient. That's why there are tuners like Hennessey , to which one customer brought his 2012 McLaren MP4-12C with a request to beef up the horse herd. And it wouldn't be John Hennessey not to comply with this wish.

The aforementioned owner bought his McLaren 12C in 2012, when it was still officially called the MP4-12C . The people from Hennessey measured 616 horsepower on the crankshaft for this car and set themselves the task of raising the given value to around 700 horsepower. They replaced the ECU, installed a new intercooler, intake filters, stainless steel exhaust system and more. After a subsequent measurement, the computers showed 704 horsepower at the crankshaft, an increase of 88 horsepower . A value of 571.6 hp was measured on the rear wheels.

Neither the exterior nor the interior of the car was affected, but Hennessey signs and the installed HPE700 package were added. In addition, the owner will find the serial number of the modification on the dashboard and engine. The resulting price was not published, but it included not only professional installation, but also dynamometer and road testing and a one-year warranty limited to 12,000 miles.

In the thank you letter, the satisfied owner wrote that he had already driven all kinds of sports and circuit cars, but he had never had such fun. He laughs every time he gets into the car and pees his pants while driving. After watching the attached video, comparing the HPE700 -equipped car with the stock one, I'm not even surprised :). Although it is a different car in the Spider version, the benefit of the HPE700 package is clear.
