Maserati has announced the names of two new models!

In Paris at the Maserati stand, the main novelty was the GranCabrio MC model, which had its premiere here. In addition to the speech about the mentioned car, the management of the car company with the trident in its emblem also revealed the names of two new models. More specifically, most people were waiting to see how the brand would name its upcoming crossover and smaller sedan than the Quattroporte . And finally we got it!

The crossover concept was presented for the first time at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2011 and boasted the name Kubang . Now it is certain that it will not be named like that in serial form. The new crossover will be called Levante after the "Via Emilia Levante" in Bologna, where the Maserati brothers originally conceived the car. Further information has not been published, for now we know that it will be built on the Jeep Grand Cherokee platform, gasoline and diesel units will appear under the hood, and sales will begin in 2014. However, it was originally expected that this designation would be carried by a small sedan.

For the second model, which will be placed in the menu under the new generation Quattroporte , they chose the name Ghibli . However, this designation is nothing new for the Maserati brand. Earlier, specifically in the 1970s and 1990s, two-door sports cars were referred to by this name. The Ghibli will be built on the Chrysler 300 platform and will likely feature a 400 horsepower twin-turbocharged six-cylinder in the engine bay.
