Lotus presented a road special derived from the circuit one

Do you want a racing car , but you don't have the necessary money and licenses? Lotus has a solution for you! The road version of the circuit special Elise S Cup R , which with a bit of exaggeration only has license plates!

For example, an attractive aerodynamic bodykit , consisting of a front spoiler, many side wings or a large rear wing , remained in place. This also has a specific function when it already produces 66 kg of downforce at 100 km/h and even 125 kg of downforce at maximum speed. The wheels have a size of 16 or 17 inches and the matte silver mirrors play more for the effect. The interior features a safety cage and sports seats in a combination of fabric and suede.

Under the hood, a supercharged 18-cylinder gasoline engine with a power of 220 hp and a torque of 250 Nm "purrs". If you add to that a perfectly functioning six-speed manual and a weight of 932 kg , it is no wonder that it accelerates to 96 km/h in 4.2 seconds and has a maximum speed of 225 km/h.

Lotus set the price tag for a legal racing car at 47,500 euros (approx. 1,311,000 crowns). And that's not a bad offer.
