Lexus GS F – Japanese muscle car revealed?!

With the IS F model, Toyota's Japanese luxury branch, Lexus , tried to match the German trio's sharp sedans. Now they are working on a larger GS F , which is supposed to attack the upper middle class. A Japanese magazine has featured what appears to be a production version of the car!

The sharp GS F sedan has only been spotted a few times as a camouflaged test prototype. However, Japanese magazine Best Car has published images of the revealed prototype and what appear to be renders of the presumed production version. Take a look at the gallery below the article and judge for yourself.

Not much was known about the technology of the upcoming Lexus GS F , but thanks to the aforementioned magazine, we now have at least some speculative information. Allegedly, the drive should be taken care of by an atmospheric (!) V8 with a volume of 5.0 liters and a power of around 460 horsepower .

However, this value is not large enough for the Lexus GS F to fight directly with the best, i.e. BMW M5 or Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG . Both German sedans produce well over 500 horsepower . Therefore, the GS F sedan will rather compete against the Audi S6 , which offers 420 horsepower .

The official unveiling and subsequent start of sales of the Lexus GS F is estimated sometime next year, with no specific auto show or occasion specified by the automaker. Likewise, we still have to wait for complete technical information and prices. But we are already looking forward to the Japanese muscle car.
