Photos of the upcoming Lexus RC F have leaked, they may be real

Recently, the magazine Best Car appeared on Japanese soil, which had the first photos of the new RC F model from Lexus on its front page. Unfortunately, it is not officially confirmed if these are real pictures of the new Japanese coupe or if they are again successful illustrations.

In the attached images, we can notice that the front part will be distinctive thanks to the aggressive mask , which is also surrounded by large air intakes. The hood will also be ventilated, as will the front fenders. The headlights are themselves taken from the IS model , which is no surprise as the RC F will be based on the IS range . In the rear areas, we find, for example, an active spoiler or four tailpipes of the exhaust system.

Under the hood, the serial version will most likely offer a 5.0 -liter eight-cylinder engine with an output of approximately 455 horsepower and a torque of 543 Nm. Yes, it is a more powerful engine compared to the eight-cylinder from the older IS F model , but it will be more economical thanks to the cylinder deactivation system , which "turns off" half of the cylinders if maximum power is not used.

As I already mentioned in the introduction, nothing is officially confirmed, therefore not even a ceremonial premiere. According to the first speculations, this should take place at the Detroit Auto Show in January 2014, and sales would only start in September of the same year .
