Lamborghini has revealed the roofless Veneno

In spring in Geneva, Lamborghini shocked the lay and professional public with the Veneno model . As part of the celebration of the fiftieth birthday of the brand , however, it will not be limited to the coupe , which will be created in three pieces.

On the basis of the closed version, the Italians also built an open model , which will be produced in a total of nine pieces . Each Veneno Roadster will cost the owner 3.9 million euros without tax (approx. 100 million crowns). However, this money is offered in return in the form of a car that rightfully ranks at the top of automotive production.

Similar to the coupé, the emphasis here is also on perfect aerodynamics and racing curves. According to the automaker, the front part functions as a large aerodynamic wing and, just like the coupe, there is a "fin" between the large adjustable carbon wing and part of the roof. If you would like to cover the space above your head completely, you are out of luck – despite the astronomical price, you simply cannot get a roof. The red color Rosso Veneno was mixed especially for the open model, with which the black wheels with low-profile tires contrast perfectly.

Compared to the coupe, the Roadster has gained only 40 kg (a total of 1490 kg), thanks mainly to the monocoque and most of the body and interior parts made of carbon-reinforced polymers (CFRP). Under the hood hides a 6.5-liter twelve-cylinder originally from the Aventador with an output of 750 hp, thanks to which the roadster offers an excellent weight/power ratio of 1.99 kg/hp. All-wheel drive and an ISR transmission with a total of five different driving modes take care of transferring power to the road. This combination will allow the Venen to hit a maximum speed of 355 km/h and accelerate to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds.
