Jaguar revealed plans for the future

In the last few days, news about the future of the British aristocratic brand Jaguar began to spread. It was gradually indicated which direction the XK series and the XF Sportbrake station wagon could go.

Designer Ian Callum talked about the Jaguar XK for Autocar . He stated that the new generation of the XK coupe and cabriolet should become more luxurious . The reason for this is simple – the British manufacturer currently has two sports series on offer: the XK and the F-Type . And while the F-Type should continue to be the sporty model, the XK should move up. According to Callum, it will be "more than a GT" .

The station wagon XF Sportbrake will go in the exact opposite direction, and within a few months we could expect a sharp sports version . It should get the name XFR Sportbrake and under the hood a turbocharged 5.0 eight-cylinder engine with a power of 510 horsepower . So at least these parameters have the default sedan. Adrian Hallmark , the automaker's global director, found the XFR Sportbrake a very "interesting" but also "difficult to implement" project. However, he stated that it would be great to make only a limited run of this model.
