The German modifier and occasional vehicle manufacturer Irmscher is celebrating its 45th birthday this year. And since the company became known mainly by building replicas of the legendary Lotus Seven , it is clear that the anniversary model cannot be built on anything else.
The basis of the Irmscher Roadster Turbo Sport 45 , as the model is called in its full name, is the same as in the case of the classic Roadster. That is, a steel chassis on which a body made of aluminum and plastic parts is mounted.
However, the new edition received a modified suspension, sports brakes, five-spoke wheels and, above all, a turbocharged four-cylinder 2.0 originally from Opel with an output of 265 hp and a torque of 400 Nm. Dynamic data has not yet been published, but with a weight of 725 kg, you can probably imagine the speed of the model.
The equipment was also improved, which was enriched with leather upholstery, heated and ventilated seats or a waterproof canvas roof.
