An interesting body kit designed for the last generation Mercedes SL

Even though I consider the current generation of the stylish SL roadster from the German premium car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz to be more than successful, the previous one has stuck in my heart and under my skin much more. And it doesn't really matter whether it's the base version or the demonic 65 AMG Black Series with its bewitching looks and fantastic sound.

I am all the more pleased to find out that I am far from alone in liking this generation and that there are even modders focusing on this beauty. One of them is, for example, Renown Auto Style, which presented its more than successful work this week.

And what did this Californian company offer its customers? Mainly modified front bumper, extended fenders, new sill extensions, rear bumper, diffuser with an integrated pair of sports exhaust system tailpipes, rear pressure wing and black alloy wheels. The body-kit is a full 10 inches wider than the stock version and one inch wider than the Lamborghini Murciélago . Be sure to check out our test to get an idea of how much this SL has grown in width.

But let's not just praise. The modifications most likely did not affect the engine compartment, and we don't even know how much Renown Auto Style values its pile of carbon.
