Infiniti – First info on the flagship sedan

Speculations about the arrival of Infiniti 's flagship sedan have been circulating in the automotive world for some time now. We have the first sketch of a possible car and basic information for you.

Since the third-generation Q45 left the North American market in 2006 (photo in the gallery), Infiniti hasn't had a full-fledged flagship in the form of a large sedan. That could change in the coming years.

In May of this year, Alfonso Albaisa was appointed as Infiniti 's chief designer, whose signature can be found on the sketch (in the gallery) that the brand's design center sent to people from AutoBlog.com . They assume, and we agree with them, that the sketch depicts a future Infiniti flagship.

Several facts lead to this conclusion – the car shown has a very long wheelbase and a hood, while the rear is shaped in the style of four-door coupes, among which the novelty is to be included. In addition, the brand's current sedans, the Q50 (formerly G) and Q70 (formerly M), are still a long way from the new generation.

It is not yet certain when and if the new flagship sedan will really be introduced. Its name is also uncertain, but the Q90 is widely assumed to be used. The lower available designation Q80 may be used for the coupe/cabriolet version of the Q70 model.
