Hyundai Motor Company , the fastest growing car brand, has released exterior sketches of its latest HND-9 luxury sports coupe concept .
The HND-9 represents the evolution of Hyundai 's design philosophy based on fluid shapes. The HND-9 is the ninth concept car developed by Hyundai Motor Group 's R&D center in Namyang, Korea. Its premium appearance is enhanced by a large number of sophisticated details. With its dramatically long hood and wheelbase, the HND-9 brings a modern interpretation of the elegant look of a classic premium sports coupe.
Fluid shapes and elegant character lines that extend from the headlights to the trailing edge of the boot lid, dramatically shaped areas that radiate power and a stunning wide hexagonal grille underline the concept's high-performance character. Upward-opening doors, spiral lines connected to the headlights, softly shimmering silver paint, two twin exhaust tips and a unique design of the front and rear lights give the car an elegant futuristic look .
The rear-wheel-drive HND-9 high-performance sports coupe concept is equipped with a 3.3-liter turbocharged GDI engine whose peak output of 370 horsepower is transferred to the road via an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The HND-9 will be presented in a world premiere at Hyundai 's press conference on March 28 at the Seoul Motor Show . More detailed information about the design of the concept and its state-of-the-art technology will be published at the motor show.
