Mercedes showed the super-luxury S-class

The Pullman designation belongs to Mercedes in the same way as the winged arrow to the emblem of Skoda cars. It is therefore not surprising that, despite the existence of such a luxurious car as the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class , the Stuttgart automaker decided to reintroduce the Pullman.

At 6,499mm long , the Pullman, sold under the Mercedes-Maybach brand, is a whopping 1,053mm longer than the Maybach S-Class. The ultra-luxury model is also a significant 100mm taller and has a wheelbase of 4,418mm – a similar length to lower mid-range models… From the outside, the model safely you can recognize it mainly thanks to another window in the middle part of the body. The rest of the changes more or less correspond to the smaller Maybach, including the unique design of the alloy wheels.

So the main thing is hidden behind a massive door. Upholstered in the finest leather with diamond stitching and inlaid with wood, the interior can accommodate four more passengers in addition to the driver and passenger . They sit opposite each other in the back and are separated from the front by an opaque window, in front of which a 47 cm screen can appear using electronics. If you would like to travel with only two people, Mercedes can also offer that for an additional fee. In that case, the seats are even more luxurious than in the four-seater version and are adjustable in a range of 43.5 degrees.

But it doesn't end with luxury seats and a screen. There are three alarm clocks on the ceiling , informing about the outside temperature, the time and the current speed of the car. The standard Burmester audio system with three-dimensional sound will offer a unique sound. On the central tunnel, separating the rear seats, there is a place for a bottle of champagne and a glass, and of course there are storage spaces. Thanks to the curtains , the side windows can be completely darkened and you can enjoy complete isolation from the outside world even in the middle of the day.

The drive is provided by a six-liter twelve-cylinder engine with double turbocharging with an output of 530 horsepower and a torque of 830 Nm at 1900 rpm. Detailed technical data is still missing, but the German automaker is already positioning the Pullman in the position of a comfortable companion rather than an athlete. The price has not yet been officially determined, but speculation is about half a million euros (approx. 13.8 million crowns) for the non-armored version. However, the amount may not be final, as the press release talks about a wide range of additional fees…
