GTA Spano got elements of graphene

The original version of the Spano supersport by the Spanish automaker Spania GTA was produced in 99 examples, but not all of them have been identified so far. The Spano of the 2015 model year will try its luck, which is somewhere halfway between a significant facelift and a completely new generation. 99 pieces will be produced again.

The shapes of the 4.68-meter-long , 1.98-meter-wide, 1.18-meter-high carbon body with a 2.8-meter wheelbase have changed considerably compared to the previous model. The lights are new and more carbon fiber parts can be seen at the front, but the upward-opening doors and electronically controlled rear wing remain. The most significant change is the use of a new carbon monocoque, which uses admixtures of titanium, Kevlar and, as the first car in the world, also graphene . Thanks to this, the chassis should have exemplary rigidity and at the same time low weight, which is partially proven by the weight of 1400 kg belonging to the entire car.

Reinforcement was received by a ten-cylinder engine with two turbochargers (previously only one compressor) and a volume reduced to exactly 8 liters. Through a seven-speed sequential gearbox with paddles under the steering wheel, 938 horsepower at 6300 rpm and a torque of 1220 Nm are transmitted to the rear wheels. This is enough for a maximum speed of over 370 km/h and acceleration to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds.

The chassis uses double wishbones , electronically adjustable ground clearance and adjustable dampers. The wheels, shod in Pirelli P Zero tires, measure 19 inches in the front and 20 inches in the rear, behind which are stopped by AP Racing carbon-ceramic ventilated discs with six-piston calipers.
