If you remember well, in 2010 the Audi car company presented a great two-door coupe with the old Quattro designation at the Paris exhibition center. Unfortunately, mass production has not yet occurred and probably will not occur. But according to the latest findings, it looks like history will repeat itself.
What do I mean? Today, the first information was revealed that a second concept called Quattro is supposed to be presented at this year's Frankfurt Motor Show. And what will the new study offer? Above all, a radical differentiation from the existing models of the Ingolstadt brand and thus also a new design direction for the future .
According to early estimates, the expected concept should measure about 4.6 meters in length and ride on a modified platform of the current A6 . You might think that the existing A6 is heavy, but the concept study should weigh around 1200 kg thanks to the extensive use of aluminum and carbon. In the engine compartment, you will probably find a twin-turbocharged 4.0 -liter eight-cylinder with an approximate power of 600 horsepower and a torque of 800 Nm. With these parameters, the new Audi Quattro would accelerate to 100 km/h in about three seconds .
This time, the automaker is seriously considering serial production, but everything will also depend on the feedback of Frankfurt visitors .
