Ford has shown the final form of the luxury Mondeo

Almost two years ago, Ford parted company with the luxury division Vignale , then presented on Mondeo . Later, the S-Max arrived decorated in this way, but these were still only concepts, at best pre-production versions. It was only today that the pre-series curtain fell on the Mondeo Vignale and the competition from the French DS models is finally heading to the showrooms.

Ford made the most changes compared to the regular Mondeo in the interior. Upholstery of the seats, armrests, dashboard and doors in premium leather with contrasting hexagonal stitching on the seats is standard. Speaking of seats, the driver's seat is electrically adjustable in ten directions as standard, and for an additional fee, both front "chairs" can be equipped with a massage machine and special shaping to minimize muscle fatigue during long journeys. A quieter ride is ensured by additionally installed insulating materials , as well as the Active Noise Cancellation system, which uses opposite waves to reduce the engine noise level. The equipment includes the SYNC 2 multimedia system with navigation, Sony audio with 12 speakers, an electrically adjustable steering wheel with memory and heating, or seven airbags (an innovative belt bag for rear passengers is available for an additional fee).

The body of the sedan or station wagon is differentiated through the chrome radiator grille , door handles and frames around the fog lights, 18-inch wheels and standard Nocciola metallic (pictured ). This can be replaced with conventional metallic shades of black, white and silver, the wheels on selected versions are an inch larger. A sharp eye may notice the dynamic LED headlights , the trunk lid is electrically controlled to increase comfort. The offer of electronic assistants is, as befits a top-of-the-line model, quite rich and includes traffic sign recognition, autonomous brakes or parking assistant with longitudinal automatic parking.

The engine range includes only the top units of the classic Mondeo, of the diesels there is a 180-horsepower two-liter TDCi with a six-speed manual transmission or a dual-clutch PowerShift automatic transmission and a twice-turbocharged two-liter TDCi Bi-turbo with an output of 210 horsepower with a torque of 450 Nm, gasoline-powered engines are represented only by a 240-horsepower two-liter EcoBoost with six-speed automatic. The sedan is also available as a 187-horsepower hybrid . In addition to all conventional engines, you can get iAWD all-wheel drive for an additional fee.

In addition to the exclusive car, the end customer with the Mondeo Vignale will also receive exclusive after-sales services . The free Vignale OneCall infoline will be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and each customer will also have individual service provided by a personal manager for the duration of the car ownership. Car sales will take place in showrooms with a FordStore corner, of which there are already over 200 in Europe, separate from the classic dealership. Following the example of some luxury German brands, additional products with the Vignale logo, such as wallets, bags or iPhone cases, designed in Milan and made of premium leather, will be available alongside the cars. Production will take place n in Valencia , Spain, alongside the regular Mondeo, but within the so-called Vignale Center , there will be an additional hundred checks on the finished car, as well as manual finishing exactly according to the customer's wishes. The price corresponds to all this, starting at 929,990 crowns for a sedan with a weaker diesel, or 959,990 crowns for an equally motorized station wagon.
