The new generation of the Mercedes Viano is probably already around the corner. In addition to many test prototypes, two drawings have also come to light that show the future design direction of the largest MPV of the German car manufacturer .
While we can't consider these drawings official yet, according to the Mercedes-Benz Passion blog , from which the photos come, these designs originate directly from Daimler . So you could say they are almost official.
And what do the pictures actually show? Above all, great inspiration from the latest edition of the S-class limousine . And no wonder. It is "esko" and Viano that are most often used as cars for the transportation of various celebrities or important cultural festivals.
Even from a technical point of view, only the best can be expected. Although we will have to leave the nine-speed automatic for now, we will get its seven-speed sibling 7G-Tronic as a replacement. Under the hood, three diesel four-cylinder tunings will be added to the automatic. For now, a six-cylinder version is not expected, on the contrary, there are whispers in the backroom about an electric and plug-in hybrid version.
The first customers will see Viana next year. However, it is not yet clear where Mercedes will present its new product.
