Dodge is returning the legendary body paint to the menu

The purple color Plum Crazy first appeared on Dodge cars in 1970 . Since then, it has won the hearts of many fans, and from time to time the American manufacturer re-introduces it to the offer. That happened again this year, so a strictly limited number of plum -colored Chargers and Challengers will soon be on American roads.

In the case of the sedan , the special shade will be available in combination with the SXT (296 hp), R/T, R/T Road & Track, R/T Scat Pack (375 hp), SRT 392 (492 hp) and finally the SRT Hellcat with 717 horsepower. The Challenger has a slightly richer offering when it includes the SXT Plus (309 hp), R/T, R/T Plus, R/T Classic, R/T Shaker, R/T Plus Shaker (381 hp), R/T Scat trims Pack, 392 HEMI Scat Pack Shaker, SRT 392 (492 hp) and of course the SRT Hellcat .

The first car in a purple jacket will be produced by Dodge in November , but the dealers are accepting orders from September until the end of the year. The premiere will take place on August 15th at the Woodward Dream Cruise event in Royal Oak (Detroit section).
