The BMW Zagato Coupé can still be seen today at Lake Como

Lately we have been writing mainly about BMW , but what can one do when such hot news comes from him every day? This time we will focus on the Zagato Coupé concept, which was prepared for the occasion of this year's Concorso dEleganza Villa dEste , held at Lake Como in Italy.

As the name suggests, BMW collaborated with the legendary Italian studio Zagato . However, the charismatic concept does not have its shapes just for nothing, but mainly to optimize the behavior of the car at high speeds. This is where original design and perfect aerodynamics come together.

The all-aluminum body of the BMW Zagato was produced by hand. Distinctive features include a long bonnet, an elegantly sloping roof with two humps and muscular fenders. The rear part is very interesting, thanks to the use of high-strength glass, which has its own unmistakable charm.

The interior tries to follow in the footsteps of the exterior. The leather covering of the instrument panel, the door panels and the stitching of the headrests form a perfect harmony, but at the same time, each one looks very sporty in its own right.

Detailed technical data about the car have not been published. BMW only commented that designing aerodynamics for high speeds was not an end in itself. From this point of view, we can expect the engine of one of the models with the mystical M on the back under the hood, which apparently works with an automatic dual-clutch transmission.

This year's Concorso dEleganza Villa dEste opened its doors on Friday at 8 p.m. If you're in the area, I definitely recommend a visit before they close again for a year at 5.30pm.
