BMW Z8 modified by Senner Tuning

If you are one of the 5,703 proud owners of a BMW Z8 sports roadster, Senner Tuning has an attractive powertrain package for you.

The BMW Z8 is (at least for me) one of the most beautiful models produced by this Bavarian automaker. The Z8 was actually created as a design exercise in 1997, but it aroused such enthusiasm among the motoring public that it was unthinkable not to start limited series production. This took place in the years 1999-2003 and a total of 5,703 of the above-mentioned pieces were created. The engine was powered by a 4.9-liter forked eight-cylinder with four valves per cylinder with a maximum output of 294 kW (400 hp) at 6,600 rpm and a torque value of 500 Nm. The sprint from zero to 100 km/h took approximately 4.6 seconds, while the maximum speed was electronically limited to the obligatory 250 km/h. However, a few modifications to the control unit were enough for the car to reach its true maximum speed of 299 km/h.

For 18,900 euros, Senner Tuning will play with the engine compartment and get an additional 50 horses from the drive unit, which will easily be enough to overcome that magical value of 300 km/h. The exhaust system and especially the chassis received new shock absorbers and springs. And let's not forget the gold-painted brake calipers and 19-inch alloy wheels.

The last manufactured Z8 celebrates its ninth birthday this year and still looks absolutely fantastic. In addition, thanks to Senner, she has aged a good few years.
