BMW has introduced a new set of M Performance accessories . Until now, this accessory was only known to owners of "classic" BMWs, but now you can also indulge in it in combination with the M5 or M6 models (coupe, convertible and Gran Coupé).
It brings them the main advantage in weight saving . It's nothing significant, but 10 kg for the Akrapovič sports exhaust and 19.4 kg for the new carbon-ceramic brakes (diameter 410 mm at the front and 396 mm at the rear) come in handy. Additional grams will certainly be saved by carbon accessories (rear spoiler and diffuser, mirror covers), on the other hand, colored stripes on the bodywork, classic kidney stones in glossy black and twenty-inch wheels are just for effect.
The interior can also offer several carbon parts. Certainly the biggest change is the Alcantara-covered steering wheel with a display showing when to shift, lap time or lateral acceleration (you can of course also have a classic steering wheel). From the long list of extras, you can also choose stainless steel pedals, several types of stickers or special M Performance carpets .
