Aston Martin Vanquish Volante officially

The carousel with spy photos of the new Aston Martin Vanquish Volante has been around since February. News servers released more information and especially photos into the world, which, however, an ordinary mortal cannot even touch without copyright . Until now! The automaker presented the new Vanquish Volante with all the pomp and the first video.

It wouldn't be a proper Aston Martin if it didn't have a huge six-liter twelve-cylinder engine under the hood. The car reaches its maximum power of 421 kW at 6750 rpm, the torque of 620 Nm peaks at 5500 rpm. The 1844 kg Vanquish Volante accelerates from rest to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds and can boldly continue up to a top speed of 294 km/h. The power of the engine, which cooperates with the Touchtronic 2 transmission (same as the coupe), goes to the rear wheels.

But with a weight of 1.8 tons, it's not just like that. You certainly know that the car will gain weight by transforming it into a convertible . Depending on the manufacturer, this is tens of kilograms, in some cases the car gains more than a meter. However, Aston Martin focused on the use of carbon fiber when developing the body, and the result is a weight increase of only 9 kilograms compared to the coupé . This is the same as putting a pack of mineral water in the trunk of a coupe. In addition, the use of carbon is reflected in the increased torsional rigidity of the body, which is the most common stumbling block of most cars with an open roof.

On the occasion of the presentation of the new car, Aston Martin also published the basic prices . In Great Britain, you can buy a Vanquish Volatne for a symbolic 199,995 pounds, in Germany prepare at least 264,995 euros. If you zoom in and take a look at the offers of additional equipment, the price of the new Aston will easily exceed the 7 million crown mark .

I almost forgot – the Aston Martin Vanquish Volante looks fantastic! But I'd like to see Jeremy Clarkson's reaction when he sees the yellow brake calipers and blue Mansora-style Panamera interior…
