Aston Martin DBC – Designing a new style for the brand

Although we all love the British Aston Martin , I must objectively admit that the manufacturer has stagnated in recent years. And not only from a technical point of view, but also from a design point of view. Individual motifs are repeated over and over and there is a lack of innovation. Samir Sadikhov could help with that.

Azerbaijani designer Samir Sadikhov is no newcomer to the world of creating emotional cars. His greatest achievements include second place in the prestigious Ferrari World Design Contest 2011 and collaboration on the interior design of the Lamborghini Urus concept. Samir's latest work is called the Aston Martin DBC and represents one possible way out of the British marque's stagnation.

Personally, what I like about the DBC concept is that, unlike the countless visions of amateurs from around the world, it is instantly recognizable as an Aston Martin . It cleverly combines the brand's classic design elements with new ideas. The result is very novel and desirable.

Conceptually, the car is also unconventional for Aston Martin – it is a mid-engined supercar. And as you probably know, the British have always specialized in GT models with a front engine. So Samir's vision is also interesting in this respect.

We will certainly never see the serial form of the Aston Martin DBC , as it is not the work of the brand itself. But it would be interesting if the British manufacturer took an example from this concept and refreshed its design expression at least a little. What do you think?
