BMW M6 Gran Coupé with officially released details

BMW is expanding its range of sports models with the M badge on the hood and trunk lid . The "Em" division is slowly losing its stamp of originality and sportiness, because its logo is already worn by the four-door coupe

At first glance, the M6 Gran Coupé offers the same design changes as the coupe and convertible. It means sportier bumpers, a carbon roof, side skirts, 20-inch wheels and a rear diffuser with four "lauf" exhaust pipes. There is also a matte color and chrome details such as the kidney panels of the front mask… In the interior , there is a place for another steering wheel and a few details with M division logos.

Under the hood of the model will be (as in the case of the coupe and cabriolet) a twin-turbocharged 4.4 eight-cylinder with a power of 560 hp and a maximum torque of 680 Nm , which will be available between 1500 – 5750 revolutions per minute.

A 7-speed dual-clutch M automatic will become standard, which will transfer all power to the rear wheels with the help of an electronically controlled limited-slip differential. This "container" will allow the M6 Gran Coupé to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds, and the speedometer needle will stop at the limit of 305 km/h (however, electronically, the maximum speed is limited to 250 km/h).

A concession to ecology is the stop/start system, while safety will be overseen by an assistance system at low speeds or traction control. In order to better squeeze the maximum performance out of the model, the M6 Gran Coupé will receive a specific system of Dynamic Damper Control shock absorbers and, for an additional fee, also carbon-ceramic brakes.
