BMW M8 2016 – a new name for the Munich supersport!

In 2008, the Munich automaker presented a supercar concept called the M1 Hommage at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este . Immediately after that, speculation began to spread, whether BMW is not planning a successor to the legendary M1 (E26). According to new reports, it looks like that will indeed happen, only the new model will be called the M8 and will arrive in 2016.

The BMW M8 will be designed and subsequently presented for the 100th anniversary of the founding of the car company. The modern supercar could be built on a modified carbon fiber and aluminum platform, which is also found in the i8 , which would help reduce production costs and the car's weight.

Motorization has not yet been discussed, but an eight-cylinder with around 600 horsepower will probably appear in the engine compartment. So we are really curious about this!
