Ferrari F150 – First details

All fans of Ferrari vehicles have January next year well written in their calendars. In Detroit , a completely new "hypercar" with the code name F150 will be presented, which will replace the legendary Enzo. British Autocar has now managed to find out some interesting details…

The first and very interesting one is undoubtedly the weight of the car – the basis is a carbon monocoque weighing 70 kg . The entire structure of the car, including the chassis or body, will be built around it. The total weight of the model should not exceed 1100 kg !

A twelve-cylinder with a volume of 6.3 liters will undoubtedly be enough for this weight! The exact performance has not yet been revealed, but insiders are talking about a performance of around 750 horses + another 100 horses , which the model will get in the short term thanks to the Hy-KERS system. It also ensures up to 40% lower emissions than a twelve-cylinder engine alone.

The engine will be placed in the middle in front of the rear axle and will cooperate with a new dual-clutch transmission. The batteries of the Hy-KERS system will be stored behind the driver.

The design of the new car will be heavily influenced by the styling of Formula 1 cars. The front of the car will be close to the road while the rear will be much higher. The characteristic feature of the new model will also be the long rear part and the cabin located significantly at the front.
