The Maserati Ghibli will arrive early next year!

Maserati recently introduced the sixth generation of its Quattroporte luxury limousine, so they may already be working on other models. A smaller sedan named Ghibli comes to the fore, which will be placed in the menu below the Quattroporte. The premiere of the brand new model is to take place much earlier than originally expected.

The presentation of the "entry" model of the Ghibli could take place next year at the Geneva or Shanghai motor shows. The five-meter car will be produced in the former Bertone Carrozzeria factory, which the FIAT concern acquired three years ago. Upon launch, the Ghibli will compete primarily with the BMW 5 Series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class . The Italian sedan will share a modified platform that will also be offered by the Chrysler 300 and Dodge Charger.

The engine range is not yet confirmed, but there is speculation about these powertrains. The first choice is the turbocharged six-cylinder Pentastar with an approximate output of 390 hp, and the next is a 3.8 -liter turbocharged eight-cylinder from Ferrari with an output of around 490 hp.
