Fisker Karma: Prices in Germany

The sedan of the future, as the ecological model Karma is called in the United States, will also go on sale in Europe next month. Specifically with our western neighbors. However, the importer failed to maintain the previously announced basic price of around 80,000 euros, so the basic model will be sold for a full 21,000 euros more. In return, customers will receive a relatively rich equipment, which includes leather upholstery, a multimedia system with a touch screen, as well as, for example, dual-zone air conditioning or bi-xenon headlights. Two additional levels of equipment will be available, for which customers will pay an additional 10,000, or 16 thousand euros.

Under the hood of the four-door sports sedan is a pair of electric motors that provide a maximum output of 300 kW (402 hp) and 1300 Nm of torque. A powerful lithium-ion battery provides enough energy to drive them, thanks to which the car can cover a distance of 80 km purely on electric power. However, the real range for everyday use needs to be extended with a conventional internal combustion engine. In this case, it is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder Ecotec, which serves only as a generator of electrical energy. Thanks to it, however, the usable range increased to a distance of 483 km. And that with an average consumption of 2.4 l/100km. Are you interested in the maximum speed value? The ecological Karma can accelerate at a speed exceeding 200 km/h, while the acceleration from zero to 100 km/h takes place in 6.2 seconds.

In terms of design, the Karma is a truly original car with an unconventional look, which may not appeal to everyone, but it can certainly attract people's attention. And it should really attract attention, because the car company's bold plans speak of up to a hundred thousand cars produced per year. In terms of technology, Karma certainly has it.
