Mercedes Benz S-class in convertible version

Already in 2007, a concept car named Mercedes OceanDrive was presented, which was built on the chassis of the Mercedes S-class. Now we managed to capture a few secret photos from testing.

Compared to the concept, however, it is clear that the final form of the car will only have two doors, but the interior will still have four seats. The S-class Cabrio should also be lighter, which is to be ensured by the all-aluminum body. It is so obvious from the first photos that a large convertible is on the way, which at the same time will not weigh like a van. As for the roof, the information does not yet indicate whether it will be fixed or only canvas with automatic lowering.

The base engine for the Mercedes Benz S Cabrio will be a four-cylinder 250 CDI, and the top model will be the S63 Cabrio AMG with a turbocharged V8 engine and the S65 Cabrio AMG with a V12 engine.

The car should also get a familiar feature called Airscarf, which means that each seat will have an opening from which to let hot air onto the neck in the winter months.
