The new Honda NSX will not only be about engine power

The new Honda NSX is one of the most anticipated cars of the second decade of the 21st century. Head of development, Ted Klaus , called the new NSX a car whose performance won't grab headlines for several days, but he wants to offer the driving excitement of a Ferrari 458 at the price of a Porsche 911.

“NSX has never been about data on paper. As with the original, this generation's performance values won't be assured by celebratory newspaper headlines. However, features such as driving pleasure or driver involvement are important to us, which you won't find in any tables," said Klaus .

"As engineers, we like numbers, but I fear that if we put the car against the criteria described above, we would lose the meaning of our work." According to Klaus, the main competitors of the Honda NSX will be the Nissan GT-R, the Ferrari 458 , the Porsche 911 or the Audi R8 : "We want the excitement of a Ferrari 458 at the price of a Porsche 911. We hope that the application of hybrid technology will help us achieve this goal."
