Audi showed the Prologue coupe concept

Audi is launching a new era of Audi Prologue studio design , presented at the Los Angeles Auto Show by chief designer Marc Lichte . The large coupe with Licht's signature sets a new direction in the development of car design with the four circle logo.

The design of Audi cars will express progressive technology even more intensively. The two-door coupe has graceful, elegant shapes with a sporty, taut hub. Shapes and lines are unmistakable and bring many new ideas. In the bright interior, the shape solution with the display and control concept forms a new unity. The entire front panel of the instrument panel is a large touch screen , part of the control takes place via a new OLED display made of organic electroluminescent diodes.

The study technique combines performance, comfort and economy. The 4.0 TFSI unit provides a maximum output of 605 hp and a maximum torque of 750 Nm, which, in combination with the eight-speed tiptronic transmission, allows the Audi Prologue two-door coupe weighing 1,980 kg to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds. The low average fuel consumption of 8.6 liters per 100 kilometers is contributed, among other things, by the new on-board electrical network, part of which works with a voltage of 48 V.

With a wheelbase of 2.94 meters and external dimensions of 5.10 x 1.95 x 1.39 meters, the large coupe is extremely agile and stable thanks to dynamic all-wheel steering that turns the rear wheels by up to five degrees. With Matrix Laser technology, Audi presents another innovation in the field of lighting technology. The massive 22" wheels have 285/30 tires and are guided by lightweight five-link suspension with sports adaptive air suspension. Aluminum alloys and steel of the highest levels of strength are mainly used in the construction of the body.
