The hypersport P1 GTR already has an interior

We have already written more than one line about the hyper sports McLaren P1 GTR for less than two million pounds, but it still continues to fascinate us. All the more so when the British automaker let us into the interior , which Lewis Hamilton will recognize, for example.

It is precisely his single- seater MP4-23 , or rather the steering wheel from it, that inspired McLaren when creating the steering wheel for the P1 GTR. In addition to a lot of carbon, all the important buttons are concentrated right here so that the driver is not unnecessarily distracted. Among other things, there is also a button to activate the DRS system , which Hamilton did not experience in the 2008 championship season.

For a change, the seats with six-point belts and the HANS safety system look for inspiration in DTM touring cars , and in order to save weight, they will be adjusted directly to the driver in question. Carbon fibers were also used in their construction, which, after all, can also be found around the digital instrument panel and on the entire rest of the dashboard.

In addition to an exclusive car, the customer will also receive exclusive care for about 69 million crowns . Each car will be assigned an entire racing team , including a chief engineer and a personal trainer, who will work with telemetry or video and tailor the care exactly to the individual racer. All P1 GTRs will have their own racing series , which will also take place on the iconic tracks of the Formula 1 world. The first year will have a total of 6 stops.
