Lexus LS 2013 – Another batch of images

We recently reported on two photos that appeared on the social network Facebook and were meant to bring a small taste of the new Lexus LS . Although the official presentation is planned for next Monday, we already have a clear idea of the exterior design. Is it just a facelift?

In two new photos we can see the Lexus LS equipped with the F SPORT package. This brings it closer in design to other representatives of the brand, especially to the GS model. The massive rear end is also like two numbers larger than the GS , but the flagship is kept to the ground by the sharply cut taillights. There are also two exhaust tips, a specifically cut rear door and probably 20" F SPORT alloy wheels.
The power units remained unconfirmed, but the same composition as before is assumed. The basis should be a 4.6-liter forked eight-cylinder, which will provide 280 kW of power to the LS 460 version. The maximum torque of 493 Nm will be sent either to the rear wheels, or four-wheel drive can be ordered for an additional fee. The version with only rear axle drive accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 5.7 seconds and claims 11.1 l/100 km in combined operation.
Adherents of hybrids will certainly reach for the LS 600h version, or the L version with an extended wheelbase. Here, under the hood, there is a forked five-liter eight-cylinder that works together with an electric motor. The combined power of 290 kW and torque of 520 Nm are sent to all four wheels through the E-CVT hybrid transmission. The most powerful version accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 6.3 seconds and swallows an average of 9 liters of gasoline.
It is also not clear about the basic prices of individual versions. The current Lexus LS 460 starts at 2,189,000 crowns, and the surcharge for a four-wheeler is 180,000 crowns. The hybrid LS 600h costs at least 2,599,000 crowns, the L version with an extended wheelbase costs almost 3 million crowns. We assume that Lexus will establish the same pricing policy now.
